CMCSS TEACHER RESIDENCY PATHWAY OPPORTUNITY

ATTN: CLASS OF 2025

 

Are you interested in a career in education? Consider a tuition-free option to work as a CMCSS full-time employee while earning your degree and/or teaching certification. Our pathway programs can lead to a fulfilling career in education, serving diverse student populations, with little to no financial obligations. Upon successful completion of the residency requirements, candidates will be guaranteed a position as a CMCSS teacher.

Elementary Teacher Residency with Nashville State Community College and Austin Peay State University

  • 3-year program

  • Earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and Teaching Certification (High School Diploma is required.)

  • Teacher Residents will be paid to work in a CMCSS Title I elementary school for three years. Residents will earn an Associate’s Degree in Education through Nashville State Community College in Clarksville, TN, and then transfer to Austin Peay State University to complete a Bachelor’s Degree. Through this experience, those selected will receive on-the-job training and mentoring with a highly qualified teacher.
